Back in March of 2009 I was cruising around Beverly Hills, California with my friend checking out some of the incredible cars which are always out and about in that town. While we were waiting at the intersection of Rodeo Drive and Sunset Blvd I saw this extremely rare 40th anniversary Lamborghini Murcielago coming down the road. I already had a video camera in hand so I decided to film it coming through the intersection. After the car made the turn I left the camera running to record audio of the Murcielago accelerating. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing when I watched the car go around the turn and continue to spin and crash into a palm tree in the median!!! The sound of the Lamborghini sliding down the curb and hitting the tree was horrific. This is usually only something you see in movies or on TV. Still in shock of what I just saw happen I went with my first instinct and I immediately ran to the car to make sure the driver wasn’t injured. Thankfully he was ok…unlike his ego. Unfortunately the car was totaled from this accident which lowers the number of already rare 40th Anniversary Murcielagos on the road. Check out this crazy video I was lucky enough to capture and take a look at my friend Rob’s videos from Super Speeders, who has captured a few rare crashes and other exciting exotic cars in action on film as well.
