Lamborghini Aventador Delivery

In August of 2011 the brand new Lamborghini Aventador had just started to hit the dealerships in the United States. I had a lucky day when I went with my friend to Lamborghini Beverly Hills service center because when we showed up there was a truck full of Aventadors. Seeing 3 together was quite the sight unless you work at the factory in Italy. I guess it helped a bit that we were there the day after the Pebble Beach Concours where Lamborghini had a few of their new toys on display including the wild orange Aventador (which is a new color exclusive to that car). I couldn’t help but take pictures of these cars I mean just look at how ridiculous they look! Hopefully 2012 is full of many more Lamborghinis.

McLaren Greenwich Photo Shoot

Early in the month of December I got a phone call asking if I was interested in shooting the new McLaren MP4-12C. This was an offer I accepted instantly! The photo shoot was done for McLaren Greenwich in Greenwich, Connecticut for a corporate campaign of the new car in each city there is a dealership. Check out the how beautiful the McLaren looks in a clean white color in one of the busiest cities in the world.

Mansory SLR McLaren

August was a busy month! During the week I spent with my friends in Monterey, California for Concorso Italiano my friend was approached by Dupont Registry asking about his Mansory SLR McLaren and if he was interested in having the car on the cover of their magazine. Once we got back to Southern California we arranged a photo shoot in a studio which was a lot of fun. One of the pictures made it onto the cover for the November 2011 issue. Hopefully you enjoy a few behind the scenes pictures from the studio and see which shots didn’t make it to the magazine.

Aston Martin V12 Zagato Unveil Party

After an incredible weekend in Pebble Beach, California I made it back down to southern California just in time. I missed the car in Pebble Beach so it was perfect timing that O’Gara Coach had an unveiling of the brand new V12 Aston Martin by Zagato. Having seen previous models from Zagato I knew I was looking forward to a something a bit outrageous. There were lines and curves I never thought were possible on a V12 Vantage! It looked evil sitting still in the showroom which really makes me hope future owners use this car in a proper way. Enjoy!

Matte white Lamborghini Aventador

Congratulations Lamborghini, you have outdone yourself yet again! I don’t know how it’s possible to improve on one of the sexiest Lamborghinis produced (LP640) but somehow they figured it out. The Aventador is a completely new animal. Usually the V12 models are finicky and take a toll on your body after a drive which is a headache for some owners. This new car however is the complete opposite on the drivability scale. With the comfort features brought over from the Gallardo this is now a Lamborghini supercar which is “practical”! Your definition of practical may be different from mine but I know I would drive this everyday if I had the choice. Don’t be worried though it didn’t lose its brute force as it pushes out 700HP and shifts gears in 50 milliseconds. This is a force to be reckoned with and brings up the level of competition another notch. Now lets wait and see what Ferrari comes out with next.

Bullfest – Spring 2011

Over the past few years the exotic car community in the Northeast has grown to the point where events like “Bullfest” are possible…and how can you complain about that!? It’s always fun going to events with a mix of exotic cars but some people prefer certain manufacturers which is how Bullfest was created.

The idea of having (insert crazy number here) Lamborghinis all in one place is extremely appealing, especially for Hovik Gevorgyan. With a few years of experience in putting together events he decided to attempt a Lamborghini gathering which would be record breaking for the Northeast. With the support of multiple Lamborghini owners the event took place and was epic. Last year one of the “Bullfest” events reached nearly 60 Lamborghinis! Even with the torrential rain in the morning the event was still a go because the God Father of Lamborghini (Valentino Balboni) was in town and planned on attending. There was some anxiety in the air as we stood in the rain waiting for the Lamborghinis to arrive. With the rain slowing down the cars were rapidly arriving. After the first 20 cars showed up it was nothing but relief knowing that the Lamborghini owners weren’t phased by the rain and showed their true enthusiasm for the event. By the end of the day the final count of cars was right at the 40~ mark which I would consider outstanding! Bullfest Fall 2011 can’t come soon enough.

Sharpie Ducati Monster

Have you ever seen pictures of the crazy Sharpie Lamborghini Gallardo? I shot the car back in 2007 so you have probably seen my pictures of it. Well last week I was up in Bear Mountain which is a very popular spot for car and bike enthusiasts because of all the beautiful roads to drive on. I was shocked when I saw this Ducati pull into the parking lot at the top of the mountain. It was done in a “Sharpie paint job” just like the Lamborghini I shot years ago! I spoke briefly with the owner and she told me she was inspired by the Lamborghini. The total time spent on the bike was 75 hours and it is very detailed. I find it incredible that I come across these unique vehicles and always seem to be in the right place at the right time. I wonder what will we see with a Sharpie paint scheme next!

My Dream Car

While choosing just one is nearly impossible for any car enthusiast I am confident I know what my dream car is. Some consider it outdated and slow especially with the major improvements in technology in newer models but that is something I love about it. It lacks most of the computers and driver assists which allows you to thoroughly enjoy the raw driving experience and in return is much more rewarding when driven properly. The cars stripped down interior accentuates the fact that its main purpose is to be driven on race tracks or on that winding back road that never ends with new challenges in every turn. Forget driving down Rodeo Drive, they make convertibles if you want people to see you. Another great fact about my dream car is the stunning looks even when it is sitting still. It is a piece of art but a crime not to enjoy it. The low stance, wide arches over the rear wheels, aero work done all around, carbon fiber mirrors, stripped down interior, and an exhaust note that sends chills down your spine all combined to create an epic automobile. Literally every single detail on the car is appealing to me which is why it is my dream car.

If you haven’t guessed by now it is the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale.

“Green Monster” Corvette Z06 Photo Shoot

California Supercar Collection

About 6 months ago I had an opportunity arise which doesn’t come along very often, if ever. My friend invited me to see their collection of very rare supercars hidden in the hills of southern California. When I entered the “garage” my jaw dropped in amazement. The cars were setup as if they were being showcased in a museum. Don’t let looks fool you though because these cars are driven regularly by true car enthusiasts. Just look at the common theme among all of the cars, racing inspired. These supercars are as pure and raw as they come. Here is a quick rundown of the list of cars:

Pagani Zonda

Now you are probably wondering why 2 Carrera GTs. Well the owner wanted one for himself and his wife wanted one as well!! The Ferrari 360 GT is a different story though. While driving the yellow one on the track something went wrong with the engine and it ended up to be a blown engine. So after a little bit of thinking he decided it would be fun to put a 1,000 HP chevy engine in it!! You can see the Chevrolet badges on the car as well. He also owns a few Porsche Cup cars which are stored somewhere else and his yellow Pagani Zonda C12S was being serviced.
